The Pastor's sermon had reached its peak. Murphy sat in the church pew, lacking the enthusiasm shared by others around him. His mind reflected on the death of his mother. She sacrificed her spare time volunteering for this church, for what? He could still envision her looking deep into his eyes with her warm smile. "I love you, kiddo," she would say. He grimaced.






"Sorry I'm late," Ms. Starr said. "I was held up by my producer."
"Does your producer know you are meeting with us?" Thomas asked.
"He does," she smiled. "He warned me to be careful about what I say to you and to get assurances that our network is seen in a positive light."
"I understand. I'm sure your reporting from the hospital caused a lot of attention."
"Yes, a lot of attention I was not prepared for both professionally and personally."
